Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a rectangular shaped embroidered device arched at top and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) ultramarine blue border. On an arched yellow background, a yellow Bulldog detailed ultramarine blue between four ultramarine blue stars two to the left and two to the right.  Arcing above the Bulldog the inscription "BEACH HS" and "BULLDOGS" arcing below   in ultramarine blue letters.  The overall dimensions are 2 3/4 inches (6.99 cm) in height and 2 3/4 inches (6.99 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Blue and gold are the school colors.  The Bulldog is the school's mascot, and shows a determined approach to succeed.  The four stars represent Georgia as the fourth state of the Union.  These symbols promote pride in state and school traditions and further reinforce learning and fitness.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 24 February 2010. (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J-903)




Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned:  Azure, a chevron Or, in dexter chief a theatrical mask with lyre and artist brushes and in sinister chief an open book surmounted by a quill, issuant form dexter base and overall an arm holding and extending a torch in pale to an open hand issuant from sinister base all of the last.  Attached below the shield a Blue arched scroll inscribed "ALFRED E. BEACH HIGH SCHOOL" in Gold letters. 

Symbolism
Blue and gold are the school colors.  The charges on the shield promote the ideals of a well rounded educational experience, pride in school traditions and responsibility to community.  The torch symbolizes the passing of leadership and skills associated to the ROTC students.

The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 24 February 2010.
