On a blue disc 3 1/2 inch (8.89 cm) in diameter edged with 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border, a white disc with a narrow blue inner border bearing the white bust of George Washington in uniform detailed and outlined blue; overall in base a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) horizontal white band between two 5/16 inch (.79 cm) scarlet bands below the inscription "WASHINGTON HIGH SCHOOL" in white letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height between three white stars.
Navy blue and white are the school colors of Washington High School. The image of George Washington suggests the name of the school. The three stars allude to the devotion to duty, academic excellence and physical conditioning of the ROTC cadets. The stars, when combined with the scarlet and white stripes, further suggest the coat of arms of George Washington and reflect the town's namesake.
