Description/Blazon
On yellow shield edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border a tiger's head affront couped Proper.  Attached above the shield a yellow scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (. 32 cm) black border inscribed "GREENVILLE" in 5/16 inch (.79 cm) black letters.  The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 3 inches (7.62 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Black and gold are the school colors.  The school's mascot is the tiger.

Background

The shoulder sleeve insignia (SSI) originally authorized on 3 January 1996, it is currently being amended to add the ACU color conversions on 24 October 2017.  (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J-450)





Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inch (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned:  Sable two keys conjoined at bows and addorsed bendwise Or. Attached below the shield, a black scroll turned gold and inscribed "TRUE GRITH" in gold letters.

Symbolism
Gold and black are the school colors.  The keys symbolize security, one of the meanings of the words Grith. The conjoined keys signify the cross enrollment of the two schools, Greenville and Georgiana High.

Background

The shoulder loop insignia (SLI) authorized on 3 January 1996, it is currently being amended to update the manufacturing drawings on 24 October 2017.
