Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a blue disc a white Eagle with a yellow beak and feet stooping, all encircled by a red designation band edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border and inscribed in white letters "PUTNAM COUNTY" above and "WAR EAGLE" below. The overall dimensions are 2 3/4 inch (6.99 cm) in diameter.

Symbolism
Red, white and blue are the school colors.  The Eagle is the school's mascot and along with the colors provides a national and patriotic symbol to the cadet program.  The Eagle further symbolizes the cadets' determination to achieve high ideals, leadership, wisdom and strength.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 15 June 2010. (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J-914)




Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 3/16 inches (3.02 cm) in width overall consisting of a Blue mantling turned base metal surmounted by a shield blazoned: Argent, quartered Azure and Gules in dexter chief a lyre and drama mask, in sinister chief winged foot bendwise, in dexter base a two cog wheels one small and one large bendwise, and in sinister base a torch bendwise all Argent, on a chief an eagle stooping of the first.  Attached below, a Red scroll "PUTNAM COUNTY HS" in base metal.
