Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a rectangular shaped embroidered device arched convexly at top and bottom, edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Purple border, blazoned as follow:  Per saltire Gules and Argent, divided by a bend Silver Gray and bendsinister Purpure, surmounted by a horse bolting to dexter head rearing to sinister Gules, mane, tail and details of the third, highlighted of the second, all between two mullets of the last, faceted Silver Gray.  Attached above the rectangle, a Silver Gray scroll inscribed "RIDGE VIEW" in Purple letters edged with a 1/8 inch ( .32 cm) Purple border.  Attached below, a Silver Gray scroll inscribed "HIGH SCHOOL" in Purple letters edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Purple border.  The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width. 

Symbolism
The school colors are purple and silver.  The mascot is the Blazer Stallion. The bends forming the saltire represent the school within a school' concept within which Ridge View was created.  The bends and divided background symbolize the specific educational and career paths students select and follow as students of the school.  The stance of the Blazer horse suggests the strength and determination of the cadets to lead the way to success in areas of academics, technology, physical fitness and the arts.  The two stars represent enlightenment and accomplishment.

Description/Blazon
On a Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height   consisting of a shield blazoned: Purpure, a barrulet and pallet, in chief a book of knowledge charged with five interlocking rings, covert to the school, surmounted by  a horse couped by the top of the book at its rear bolting  its head to dexter, in dexter base a palmetto tree with an ascending crescent moon above to dexter, and in sinister base a coronet crown environing a torch of eternal light, all Silver Gray   Attached above the shield a Purple scroll inscribed "BLAZERS" in Silver Gray  letters, emitting form between shield and scroll two oak branches fructed with acorns descending to base of the last.  Attached below a Purple tripartite scroll inscribed "H" "RIDGEVIEW" "S" in Silver Gray letters.  

Symbolism
 The school colors are purple and silver gray.  The mascot is the Blazer Stallion which represents strength through sports and physical fitness.  The olive branch and five rings symbolize peace through athletic competition.  The torch and crown signifies enlightenment and education.  The open book represents knowledge and study.  The Palmetto tree and crescent denotes the location of the school.
