Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a black embroidered shield-shaped item edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border charged with a silver gray helmet, visor closed, detailed black, attached to the helmet on the top a flowing red plume.  Attached above the shield a black scroll inscribed "HANKS" in silver gray letters.  The overall dimensions are 3 inches (7.62 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Silver and black are the school colors with red as an accent.  The silver knight helmet signifies truthfulness, honesty, strength, and integrity.  The red plume represents courage. The school has an Alma Mater describing the loyalty and honor of the school, and a fight song which is sung to the tune of the Notre Dame Fight song.
