Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
An embroidered device consisting of a orange oval shape, edged with a 3 /32 inch (.24 cm) white inner border displaying a light brown grizzly bear with navy blue details, an orange tongue and gums; white teeth and claws.  Below the grizzly is an orange rectangular designation band edged with a 3/32 inch (.24 cm) white inner border inscribed "GRAINGER" in navy blue block letters. The entire device is edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) navy blue border.  Overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 3 inches (7.62 cm) in width.
 

Symbolism
Orange and navy blue are the school colors.  The grizzly is the school's mascot, which symbolizes swiftness, power, ferocity and protection.  The diagonal bar represents strength and readiness for military duty.  The school name on the bar indicates the cadet's resolve to apply strength and readiness in service to the school and community.

Description/Blazon
On a Silver colored metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a shield blazoned:  Azure, bendwise sinister Argent overall a grizzly bear sejeant Tenn.  Attached below the shield a Blue scroll inscribed "GRIZZLIES" in Silver letters.

Symbolism
Orange and navy blue are the school colors.  The grizzly bear is the school's mascot.  The grizzly bear symbolizes swiftness, power and protection.  The grizzly bear further represents the cadets' resolve to apply those attributes combined with strength and readiness, in service to the school community.
