Shoulder Sleeve Insignia
On an arched shield divided per fess enhanced red over blue and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border; a white hawk in flight throughout. Attached above the shield, a red scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border and inscribed "HANCOCK" in white letters. The overall dimensions are 31/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 3/4 inches (6.99 cm) in width.
Red, white and blue are the school colors. The hawk is the school's mascot. The blue part of the wavy shield represents the Gulf of Mexico and denotes the school's location.

Shoulder Loop Insignia
A gold metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a disc, the lower half, three blue wavy horizontal bars below a demi-sun issuant from a gold horizontal bar; all surrounded by a gold scroll inscribed "HANCOCK HIGH SCHOOL" arching at top in red letters.
The blue wavy bars represent the Gulf of Mexico and indicate the school's locale. The rising sun over the beach denotes the county school system and the enlightenment of education.
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 9 May 1994.
