Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a yellow rectangle arched at top and bottom within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) crimson border, an Indian's head in profile couped at the neck crimson, with yellow details in headdress, above two crimson tomahawks saltirewise, all above an attached yellow scroll inscribed "HARLANDALE" in crimson letters.  The overall dimensions of the shoulder sleeve insignia with scroll are 3 inches (7.62 cm) in height and 2 inches (5.08 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Maroon and gold are the school colors.  The Indian chief is the school's mascot and reflects the school's locale where Indians once roamed.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally on 7 February 1968.  It was amended to add the school name, subdued colors and metric measurements on 26 October 1992.  (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J-279)
