Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
An oriental blue shield-shaped embroidered device with a rounded base edged with a 1/8 inch
(.32 cm) black border.  The device is enclosing a white oval shape edged with a 1/16 inch (.16 cm) black edge displaying a lime green panther detailed black with lime green eyes, teeth and claws white. The panther is facing the observer and lunging forward with his left paw, tail and back outside the edge.  Attached above the shield a white scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed "OPTIONS" in black letters.  The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.

Symbolism
The school colors are blue and yellow (lime green).  The panther is the school's mascot.  The panther symbolizes courage, wisdom, perseverance, and the Cadets' fierce winning spirit.  The oval shape that the panther is lunging through alludes to the letter "O" for Options.

Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned:  Or, two bars in fess Azure between in chief three mullets of the second and in base a panther statant and stalking of the like.  Attached below the shield a Blue scroll inscribed "PANTHERS" in Silver letters.   

Symbolism
The school colors are blue and yellow.  The panther is the school's mascot and symbolizes courage, wisdom, perseverance and the Cadets' fierce winning spirit.  The two bars and three stars are based on the personal coat of arms of George Washington and represent the location of the school.
