Shoulder Sleeve Insignia
A white disc edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border, the overall diameter 3 inches (7.62 cm) on which is centered a yellow anchor garnished blue within a circular pattern of thirteen blue stars of five points.
The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 4 January 1974.
Shoulder Loop Insignia
A gold metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a white enamel shield on which is a blue enamel anchor. Attached below the shield a blue scroll inscribed "HOPE" in gold color metal letters.
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 4 January 1974.
