Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a scarlet disc edged with a 1/16 inch (.16 cm) white border; the overall diameter 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm), a white bulldog's head affront erased at collar wearing a black collar with white spikes, pupil, nose, detail of the mouth all black,  white teeth and scarlet tongue; all  encircled by a black designation band  edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border inscribed "HICKMAN COUNTY" at the top and "BULLDOGS" at the bottom all in white letters.

Symbolism
Black and red are the school colors.  The bulldog is the school's mascot which represents the fierce upholding of the school creed of Truth, Honor, and Loyalty.  The eight spikes on the collar represent the eight schools in the Hickman County school district.  This school was the first Hickman County High School.

Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Quarterly Gules, and Sable in the first a mask of tragedy and comedy, superimposed on the base a lyre, in the second a laurel branch, surmounted by a winged foot to sinister, in the third a lamp of knowledge, and in the fourth a bulldog's head erased at the color affront all Argent (Silver Gray).  Attached above the shield a Black scroll inscribed "HICKMAN COUNTY" in Silver letters.  Attached below the shield a Black scroll folds of the like inscribed "BULLDOGS" in Silver letters. 

Symbolism
Black and red are the school colors.  The colors red and black are also representative of courage and determination respectively.  The mask of tragedy and comedy, and the lyre represent the arts.  The laurel branch and winged foot represent athletic superiority.  The lamp represents knowledge and the pursuit of academic excellence.  The bulldog is the school's mascot and represents the fierce upholding of the school creed of Truth, Honor, Loyalty.  The eight spikes on the collar represent the eight schools in the Hickman County School District.  The school was the first Hickman County High School.
