Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
A shield-shaped embroidered item edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Purple border blazoned as follows:  Per pale Or and Purpure, two bars in dexter,  a stylized eagle's head descending in bend all Argent, beak Tenne, eyed and garnished of the first, edged per pale of the  second and of the first.  Attached above the shield a Yellow scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Purple border inscribed "CRAWFORD COUNTY" in Purple letters.  The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width.

Symbolism
 Purple and gold are school colors.  The color purple is representative of patience and power, while gold is emblematic of honor and wisdom.  The eagle is the school's mascot, representing great strength and courage.  The students identify with the mascot in their pursuit of academic and athletic excellence.
