Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a white oval shaped device edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) oriental blue border, a green bear's head affront shaded blue on right side, eyes and teeth and tongue white, encircled by the inscription "CREEKVIEW HS" arched above and "GRIZZLIES" arched below all in oriental blue letters. The inscription is separated by six red stars three to the left and three to the right.  The overall dimensions are 2 3/4 inches (6.99 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Blue and green are the school colors.  The six stars of the insignia refer to the six Cadet Core Abilities of Education, Communication, Responsibility, Citizenship, Respect, and Critical Thinking.  The Grizzly is the school's mascot and signifies the strength and competitive accomplishments of the Creekview Cadet Battalion.  Traditionally blue represents constancy, devotion, and justice while green is representative of adaptability, hope, and youth.  White signifies the five virtues of humility, beauty, purity, clarity and innocence.  Red signifies courage, hardiness, liberty, passion, patriotism, strength, valor, warmth and zeal. These qualities compliment and reinforce the Cadet Core Abilities displayed by the cadets.

Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Quartered per pallet and chevron reversed Argent, quarters one and four Azure, two and three Vert, in the first  two books and a lamp, in the second an artist pallet, a lyre, and a theater mask, in the third two hands passing a torch, and in the fourth a winged foot; in fess point the head of a bear affront, and a wavy border to chief all of the first.  Attached below the shield, a Blue tri folded scroll with the letter "H" on the dexter fold, the letter "S" on the sinister fold, and the inscription "CREEKVIEW" on the middle fold, all in Silver letters.

Symbolism
 Blue and green are the schools colors.  The shield is the school seal with the symbol for learning in the first quarter; art, music and theater in the second quarter; shared knowledge, leadership, and citizenship in the third quarter; and athletics in the fourth quarter.  The symbols refer to the focus on academics, arts, citizenship, and athletics in the education of the cadets.
