Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a purple embroidered shield-shape item edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) gold border, a gold stalking demi-panther, eyed purple, armed gold; between leaves of grass, gold.  Attached above the shield a purple scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) gold border inscribed "CAMDEN" in gold letters.  The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Purple and gold are the schools colors.  Purple signifies the abundance of knowledge the cadet receives in his or her training.  Gold is symbolic of virtue, which every member of the battalion must strive for.  The panther is the mascot of Camden High School.  The panther is shown stalking through the grass and embodies the same determination shown by cadets of the Panther Battalion.

Description/Blazon
A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a purple shield displaying a gold panther's  head couped affront, outstretched paw, armed gold all detailed purple.  Attached above the shield a gold arched scroll inscribed "CAMDEN" in purple letters. 

Symbolism
 The panther is the mascot of Camden High School.  Purple and gold are the school colors.  Purple signifies the abundance of knowledge the cadet receives in his or her training.  Gold is symbolic of virtue, which every member of the battalion must strive for.  The outstretched paw denotes swift and capable thinking that is required of every cadet in the Panther Battalion.
