On a shield-shaped embroidered item edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) White border, blazoned as follows: Sable, a Chinese dragon Gules detailed Argent clutching the torch of knowledge Or, all above a scroll of the first and last unfurled from dexter to base and inscribed "PCHS" in Yellow letters. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 3/4 inches (6.99 cm) in width.
Red, white and black are the school colors. Red represents the courage of every cadet and black signifies the determination they have for a successful future. The Chinese dragon is the school's mascot and alludes to the Chinese city Peking, the namesake of Pekin, IL. The torch symbolizes the battalion's dedication to scholarship and academics.
