Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a black rectangular embroidered item arched convexly at top and bottom edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) orange border, an orange tiger's head affront couped, detailed black and white, teeth white and tongue red.  Attached above the rectangle, a black scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) orange border inscribed "TIGER" in orange letters, between two orange paws armed.  Attached below the rectangle, a black scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) in inscribed "BATTALION" in orange letters.  The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Black and orange are the school colors.  The black represents the determination of every cadet, while orange denotes their ambition.  The tiger is the school's mascot and the tiger paws are symbolic of the school which represents "Tiger Pride".

Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height blazoned: Sable, two pallets Tenn, in chief a heraldic Silver Bengal tiger passant and holding a Silver torch enflamed all Argent.  Attached below the shield a Black scroll inscribed "AZTEC HIGH" in Silver letters.

Symbolism
Black and orange are the school colors.  Black represents the determination of every cadet, while orange denotes their ambition. The tiger is the school's mascot and the enflamed torch represents the Army JROTC program.  The alternating black and orange bars represent the five values of the Aztec Municipal School System: Collaboration, Rigor, Relevance, Success, and Relationships.
