Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a white vertical rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) maroon border a white Indian head in profile, detailed black and maroon.  Attached above the rectangle a white scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) maroon border inscribed "ISTROUMA" in maroon letters.  Attached below the rectangle a white scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) maroon border inscribed "HIGH SCHOOL" in maroon letters.  The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Maroon and black are the school colors. Maroon is symbolic of the courage of cadets as leaders in the school and the community and black signifies the determination to succeed in all endeavors, they are the school colors.  The Indian is the school's mascot and reflects the pride, honor and loyalty of the cadet's military training.

Description/Blazon
On a Gold color metal and enameled device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Sanguine, between two tomahawks in saltire, Or, three mascles each charge with a lozenge Sable, in base a stylized arrowhead bearing an Indian head in profile couped below shoulders of the second.   Attached below the shield, a Gold scroll conjoined at the ends with two laurels Black and inscribed on the dexter "ISTROUMA" and on the sinister "INDIANS" in Black letters.

Symbolism
