Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a maroon diamond shaped embroidered device edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border, displaying the head of a Jaguar caboshed snarling marked Proper, below the inscription "APPOQUINIMINK HS" in white letters.  The overall dimensions are 3 5/16 inches (8.41 cm) in width and 2 13/16 inches (7.14 cm) in height.

Symbolism
Maroon, black, and white are the school colors.  Maroon signifies valiance, black represents determination, and white is symbolic of discretion and maturity.  The insignia is shaped like a gem style diamond to reflect that Delaware is nicknamed "the Diamond State".  The Jaguar is the school's mascot which defends and protects his domain with absolute power and determined resolve, which reflects the strength and spirit displayed by the cadet's in all endeavors.

Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a three diamonds two smaller filled white over layed by a larger diamond filled maroon surmounted by a Jaguar springing towards dexter filled transparent gold brown.  Attached below bowed to base a black scroll inscribed "APPOQUINIMINK JAGUARS" in base metal letters.  The area between the diamonds and scroll is recessed and rayed.
