Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
A shield-shaped embroidered item edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Gold border blazoned as follows:  "Quarterly Gules and Sable, a stylized image of a commodore's head couped in a reverse triangular point below the shoulders of the second, garnished of the first, face in a three quarter position to sinister bearing a mullet on its jacket and fimbriated all Argent."  Attached above the shield, a Black scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Gold border inscribed "COMMODORES" in Gold letters.  The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 11/16 inches (6.83 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Red, black and white are the school colors.  Red represents patriotism a great attribute the cadets have for their country.  Black represents determination; a virtue the cadets seek to achieve in everything they do.  White represents maturity a trait the cadets reflect in their manners and decisions.  The commodore is the school's mascot and represents courage and leadership in the face of adversity.  The students identify with their mascot in their pursuit of academic as well as athletic achievements.

A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned:  "Quarterly Gules and Sable, a stylized image of a commodore's head couped in a reverse triangular point below the shoulders of the second, garnished of the first, face in a three quarter position to sinister bearing a mullet on its jacket and fimbriated all Argent (Silver Gray)."  Attached above the shield a Black tri-parted scroll inscribed "PCC", "COMMODORE" and "BN" in Silver letters.
