Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a silver gray vertical rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) purple border, within a purple oval shape edged white a stylized silver gray cougar's head with purple eye, nose, detailed and edged white, all between four diagonally placed purple stars two and two, from upper right to lower left.  Attached above the rectangle, a white scroll edged with a 1/8 (.32 cm) purple border inscribed "SOUTH" in purple letters.  Attached below the rectangle, a white scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) purple border inscribed "CREEK" in purple letters.  The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 3/8 inches (6.03 cm) in width. 

Symbolism
Purple and white are the school colors.  Purple symbolizes the loyalty to school, community and each other demonstrated by the students.  White represents the perfection the cadets strive for in academic, athletic and military training.  The four stars symbolize Leadership, Citizenship, Responsibility and Knowledge.  South Creek was established in August 2010 due to the merging of Bear Grass High School, and Roanoke High School, which was divided between a creek that ran through the town.  The students at Roanoke High School selected the cougar for the school's mascot which reflects the strength and spirit required of the cadets to soar in all their endeavors.

A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a silver cougar issuing from the top left onto a silver diagonally placed platform center purple, from upper left to lower right, all between in lower left two diagonally placed purple stars and in the upper right two stacked purple stars; through the center of the device a purple scroll inscribed "SOUTH CREEK HS" all in silver letters.
