On a shield shaped embroidered item edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Black border blazoned as follows: Per pale Purpure and Azure (Teal), the head of an American Bald Eagle Proper facing affront, garnished Sable. Attached above the shield is a black scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Black border inscribed "SEQUOYAH" in white letters. The overall dimensions are 3 inches (7.62 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.
Purple, teal and black are the school colors. Teal represents the devotion, loyalty and courage of the cadets as leaders in the school and in the community. Black is symbolic of the discretion, maturity and the wisdom to succeed. Purple refers to justice, honor and the cadet's fierce winning spirit. The school's mascot is the American Bald Eagle and symbolizes strength, bravery, alertness and liberty. The divided background alludes to military strength and fortitude while the shield shape denotes the defender of scholarly achievement.
