Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Silver metal and enamel device 1 1/8 (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned as follows:  Sable, a bend Gules; in front of the shield a Knight in Silver Gray with a White plume on helm; riding upon a White horse detailed Silver Gray rearing with Black hooves, and a Silver Gray saddle pad with Black and Red details.  Attached above the shield, a Black arched scroll inscribed with "MONARCH" in Silver letters.  Attached below the shield, a Red ribbon scroll inscribed "KNIGHTS" in Silver letters.

Symbolism
The school's colors are red for patriotism and courage, silver for Excellence and black for Strength. The school's mascot is a Medieval Knight; a cadet who follows the Knight's code of chivalry is kind, respectful, honest and tolerant; practicing good citizenship, self control and cooperation. The horse symbolizes the sturdiness and resolve of the cadet.

Background
 The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 26 August 2011.
