Shoulder Sleeve Insignia
A shield depicting a great river (white) flowing between verdant fields (green) in the foreground, with majestic, snow-capped mountains (blue and white) shielding the setting sun (yellow) against the blue sky (light blue) in the background, all within the narrow yellow border. Attached below the shield, a green scroll inscribed "IDAHO" in yellow letters.
The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 18 January 1966.
Shoulder Loop Insignia
A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/16 inches (2.70 cm) in height overall consisting shield blazoned as follows: Argent (white) a fess Sable, overall a Viking's head facing sinister couped Or.
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 25 June 1965.
