Description/Blazon
A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned:  "Per bend sinister Or and Tenne, in chief two hands conjoined of the first, in base a pale Brun." Attached below the shield a Brown tri-parted scroll inscribed "H", "PIPER" and "S" in Gold letters.  Crest:  "Between two palm fronds, a Bengal tiger all Or."

Symbolism
Orange and brown are the school colors.  The orange signifies ambition, a virtue the cadets possess in their academic as well as athletic achievements.  Brown represents the earth and reflects how grounded the cadets are in everything they do.  The Bengal tiger is the school's mascot and symbolizes fierceness and valor.  The clasped hands represent teamwork, the key to success in JROTC.  The palms suggest victory and allude to Florida's state tree; the palm tree.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 27 October 2011.
