Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
A white triangular-shaped embroidered item edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) red border, arched convexly on each side, displaying a white couped Native American warrior's head in profile, facing to the right, detailed red, with black hair, hair banded red, adorned with white feathers detailed black.  Below the image the inscription "BRYAN COUNTY HS" in red letters.  The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Red and white are the school colors.  Red signifies courage, a virtue the cadets possess in everything they do.  White suggests maturity an attribute the cadets reflect in their manners and decisions.  Black represents determination the cadets use to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to conquer any endeavor.  The Native American is the school's mascot conveying strength and honor; which also pays homage to the great Cherokee and Creek tribes that originally inhabited the State of Georgia.  The students identify with their mascot in their pursuit of academic and athletic achievements.  The overall triangular-shape alludes to the Trail of Tears National Historic Trail which, part of the trail, resides in the State of Georgia and the historical importance to the Cherokee nation.

Description/Blazon
A silver  color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall, consisting of a triangular-shaped,  a seven pointed white star above a blue wavy horizontal bar throughout, on each side of the device a curved white feather with black tips.  Attached below the device a black scroll inscribed "DARE MIGHTY THINGS" in silver. 

Symbolism
