Shoulder Loop Insignia
A Silver color metal and enamel shield shaped device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Barry of seventeen Argent and Gules, on a pile Sable, the head of a cardinal bird erased, facing sinister, Proper. Below the shield, a black scroll inscribed "AD VITAM PARAMUS" in Silver letters, which translate to "WE ARE PREPARING FOR LIFE".

The school's colors are red, white and black. Red signifies the passion, patriotism, and loyalty that the cadets show for their school and country. Silver (White) is symbolic of the courage to act responsibly and possess uncompromising integrity. Black conveys the constancy, determination, and dignity that the cadets strive to demonstrate in academics, athletics and community activities. The cardinal bird is the school's mascot and reflects military fortitude and the magnanimity of the cadets. The triangular wedge shape symbolizes military strength and fortitude. The seventeen red and silver horizontal bars represent Ohio as the seventeenth state admitted into the Union.
The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 14 October 2011.
