Symbolism
Green and white are the colors, which derived from the State of Georgia's "Work Ready" scholastic program.  The Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) program at Vidalia High School is an element of the Career Academy. The color white, being neutral signifies the career Academy's neutrality in the world of high school sports. The schools where the cadets collectively hail from through the years are bitter sports rivals; the" Thunderbolts" represent all four schools. When the schools compete on the sporting fields, color guards consist of two cadets from each of the rival schools, thus illustrating the neutrality and teamwork principles taught in the JROTC curriculum.  The torch signifies the cadet's incessant quest for truth, knowledge, community service and compassion for their fellow citizens.  The red flame of the torch intimates that the cadet's education is yet not complete and that learning is a lifelong endeavor.
