A disc 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in diameter overall consisting of an inner blue disc displaying a white Trojan warrior detailed blue, behind him six white pikes, all encircled by a white designation band edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) red border inscribed "LAMAR COUNTY" at top and "TROJANS" at bottom all in blue letters.
Blue, red and white are the school colors. The Trojan spears represent the mascot of Lamar County High School. They are colored white to symbolize the honor of being a cadet in the Trojan Battalion. The blue disc represents Lamar County High School as a whole and signifies loyalty. The red border denotes the courage it takes to become a cadet in the Lamar County High School Trojan Battalion.
