Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a gold vertical rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) green border, a green eagle in flight clutching a shield quartered green and gold.  Attached above, a gold scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) green border inscribed "ENLOE" in green letters.  Attached below, a gold scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) green border inscribed "EAGLES" in green letters. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Forest green and old gold are the school colors.  The eagle is the school's mascot, which symbolizes to the student body the bold, undaunted spirit needed for any undertaking. Forest green represents the location of the school, Raleigh, North Carolina. Old gold denotes the honor of being a cadet in the Eagle Battalion.

Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Gold color metal and enamel shield shaped device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned:  Quartered Vert and Or; in the first quarter an open book and key; in the second a star; in the third a graduation cap; and in the fourth a diploma, all Gold; attached above the shield, a green scroll inscribed "ENLOE" in Gold letters.  Attached below the shield, a Green scroll inscribed "EAGLES" in Gold letters. 

Symbolism
Forest green and old gold are the school colors.  The shoulder loop insignia is an adaptation of the William G. Enloe High School crest. The book and key elements represent the education obtained, the graduation cap and diploma symbolize the goals of the cadets, and the star denotes the location of the school, Raleigh, North Carolina.
