Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a shield shaped embroidered item edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Teal border blazoned as follows: Argent, a rattlesnake coiled Tenn detailed Azure.  Attached above the shield, a White scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Teal border inscribed "RATTLER" in Orange letters.  Attached below the shield, a White scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Teal border inscribed "BATTALION" in Orange letters.  The overall dimensions are 3 (7.62 cm) in height and 2 1/4 inches (5.72 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Green, orange and white are the school colors.  The school is named after the great Mojave Desert where it is located. The rattlesnake is the school's mascot which represents the Mojave High School Rattler Battalion. Orange signifies the endurance of the battalion to succeed at all endeavors, white represents the honor of being a cadet in the Rattler Battalion, and teal-green denotes the adaptability of the cadets as they face challenges head on.

Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Quartered Azure and Tenn by a compass Argent; in the first quarter a drama mask conjoined with a harp, in the second two hands in a grip, in the third quarter the lamp of knowledge, and in the fourth the winged foot of Mercury all in Silver Gray.  Attached below the shield, an Orange scroll, turned Teal, and inscribed "SUCCESS NOTHING LESS" in Silver letters.

Symbolism
Green, orange, and white are the schools colors.  The mask and harp represent the arts which every cadet is encouraged to participate in. The two hands in a grip denote the teamwork which flourishes amongst the members of the Rattler Battalion. A lamp of knowledge symbolizes the education that each cadet receives at Mojave High School and the winged foot of Mercury denotes success at athletic pursuits.
