A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Quartered Azure and Tenn by a compass Argent; in the first quarter a drama mask conjoined with a harp, in the second two hands in a grip, in the third quarter the lamp of knowledge, and in the fourth the winged foot of Mercury all in Silver Gray. Attached below the shield, an Orange scroll, turned Teal, and inscribed "SUCCESS NOTHING LESS" in Silver letters.
Green, orange, and white are the schools colors. The mask and harp represent the arts which every cadet is encouraged to participate in. The two hands in a grip denote the teamwork which flourishes amongst the members of the Rattler Battalion. A lamp of knowledge symbolizes the education that each cadet receives at Mojave High School and the winged foot of Mercury denotes success at athletic pursuits.
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 9 March 2012.
