On a yellow vertical rectangle arched convexly at the top and bottom and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border, displaying a buff couped American Indian brave head in profile, facing to the right, detailed black, with black eye and hair, hair banded gold adorned with two yellow feathers with red tips hanging vertically from a poufy yellow feather. Attached above the rectangle, a yellow scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed "INDIAN" in black letters. Attached below the rectangle, a yellow scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed "BATTALION" in black letters. The overall dimensions are 3 1/4 inches (8.26 cm) in height and 2 3/8 inches (6.03 cm) in width.
The school colors are black and gold. Black conveys the constancy, determination, and dignity that the cadets strive to demonstrate in academics, athletics and community activities. Gold signifies the pride and loyalty that the cadets show for their school and country. The American Indian is the school's mascot and reflects the protective and courageous strengths and bravery of the cadets.
