Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of shield blazoned: Per pale Argent and Gules, the head, shoulders and partial chest couped below the shoulders of a Trojan Warrior in trian aspect facing sinister of the first; helmet feathers of the second. Attached below the shield, a Red scroll inscribed "OPPUGNATE COLLEM."

Symbolism
Red, white and silver are the school colors.  Traditionally the color red represents valor, honor and patriotism that the cadets show for their school and country. Silver symbolizes the cadets' dignity, sophistication and determination. White symbolizes the courage to act responsibly and possess uncompromising integrity. The Trojan Warrior is the school's mascot and is indicative of security, power and the fighting spirit of the school.  The Latin motto "OPPUGNATE COLLEM" translates to "CHARGE THE HILL" in English.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 13 April 2012.
