Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
 On a Purple vertical rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Yellow border, a lightning flash throughout of the last, surmounted by a knight in full armor facing to sinister in tri-aspect, erased at the hip, in his sinister gauntlet a sword palewise couped at base all Yellow detailed Purple, bearing in his dexter gauntlet a shield blazoned: Quarterly Purple and Or.  Attached above, a Purple scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Yellow border inscribed "CENTRAL" in Yellow letters.  Attached below, a Purple scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Yellow border inscribed "CHARGERS" in Yellow letters.  The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Purple and gold are the school colors.  Purple is symbolic of the power of cadets as leaders in the school and the community and Gold represents the four virtues of nobleness, goodwill, vigor and magnanimity.  The lightning flash signifies the schools namesake of the chargers. The shield quartered represents the consolidation of the areas two high schools. The Knight is the school's mascot and reflects the pride, honor and strength of the cadet's military training.

Description/Blazon
On a Gold color metal enamel and Purple enameled device 1 1/8 inches (2.86cm) in height overall consisting of a knight affront in full armor astride his mount armed in his dexter gauntlet a lance and his sinister gauntlet a shield blazoned with a lightning flash bendwise sinister.  Attached above the shield, a Purple scroll conjoined to the top and inscribed "CENTRAL HS" in Gold letters. Attached below the shield, a Purple scroll conjoined to the bottom and inscribed "CHARGERS" in Gold letters.
