Description/Blazon
Per bend Gray and Gules (Crimson) in sinister chief a heart of the second below a crest consisting of a sinister naked arm embowed grasping a hammer, issuant from a torse, around the whole a wreath all Or, in dexter base a ram's head caboshed of the like.  On a Yellow scroll below the shield the designation in Black letters "WORCESTER POLYTECHNIC".   

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 2 December 1960.
