Shoulder Sleeve Insignia
On a white rectangle arched at top and bottom, edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) red border, a Union cavalry soldier in blue uniform with red cape brandishing a gray saber in his right hand, mounted on a rearing black horse with tack and hooves gray. Attached above the rectangle a white scroll edged with a narrow red border and inscribed "PORT" in black letters. Attached below the rectangle a white scroll edged with a narrow red border inscribed "RICHMOND" in black letters. The overall dimensions are 3 3/4 inches (9.53 cm) in height by 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.
Red and white are the school colors. The Union cavalry Red Raider is the school's mascot and personifies the aggressive spirit of the faculty and cadets as they strive for excellence.
