A Gold color metal and enamel shield shaped device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in width consisting of a shield blazoned: Sable, a pall reversed Or, in chief a parchment scroll and a lyre and in base a torch flamant, all of the last. Supporting the shield two wildcats affront heads in train aspect Or. Attached above the shield, a Black scroll doubled and inscribed "WILDCATS" in Gold letters. Attached below the shield, a Black scroll inscribed "LEAD THE WAY" in Gold letters.
Black and gold are the school colors. Black symbolizes dignity and determination. Gold is associated with the excellence, honor and intellect of the cadets. The school's mascot is the Wildcat and represents bravery, strength and alertness. The torch represents knowledge, the lyre refers to art and music; the scroll symbolizes intelligence and education.
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 7 January 2012.
