Shoulder Sleeve Insignia
A white rectangular device with a white arced scroll attached above and below the device, all edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) gold border, the overall dimensions 3 5/8 inches (9.21 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inch (6.35 cm) in width; centered on the device a maroon Indian's head in profile, couped at the neck, wearing a maroon headdress, with gold details and tips. On the top scroll the inscription "NATCHITOCHES" and on the bottom scroll the inscription "CENTRAL" in maroon letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height.
The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 29 December 1977.
Shoulder Loop Insignia
A gold metal and enamel device 1 3/16 inch (3.02 cm) in height overall consisting of a white enamel shield between two arced gold scrolls; on the shield two maroon enamel fleurs-de-lis debruising a gold oval edged maroon, and surmounting two maroon tomahawks saltirewise, bearing an arrow vertically centered between a Spanish helmet in dexter and a fleur-de-lis in sinister all maroon enamel. On a gold arced scroll above the shield the inscription "NATCHITOCHES" and on gold arced scroll below the shield the inscription "CENTRAL" all letters maroon.
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 29 December 1977.
