On a vertical rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom, divided diagonally from upper right to lower left yellow and maroon and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) maroon border, displaying cropped and in profile a buff stylized cougar head, detailed black. Attached above the rectangle, a yellow scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) maroon border, inscribed "GRANT" in maroon. Attached below the rectangle, a yellow scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) maroon border inscribed "COUGARS" in maroon. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width.
Maroon and gold are the school colors. Red (maroon) symbolizes passion, a virtue the cadets have in everything they do. Gold (yellow) alludes to highest values which the students endeavor to uphold every day. Buff denotes wisdom, a characteristic the cadets reflect in their mature manners and decisions. Black represents determination, a quality the cadets possess to accomplish their personal as well as academic endeavors. The cougar (the school's mascot) signifies leadership, courage, power, swiftness and balance.
