Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a black embroidered disc 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in diameter overall, displaying a white panther lunging forward in train aspect, detailed black, its right paw extended out, encircled by a white designation band edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed "PERRY HS" at top and "PANTHER BATTALION" at bottom in black.

Symbolism
Black and white are the school colors.  Black symbolizes determination, a virtue the cadets possess to accomplish their personal and academic endeavors.  White alludes to maturity, a characteristic the cadets reflect in their respectful manners and decisions.  The panther is the school's mascot, which signifies strength, cunning and courage.

Description/Blazon
A silver colored metal and enamel device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height overall, consisting of a shield blazoned:  "Between a cross fillet Sable, in the first a winged foot bendwise sinister, in the second an open book surmounted by a quill pen per bend, in the third a mask of tragedy/comedy superimposed on the sinister of a lyre, in the fourth a drafting t-square erect surmounted by an atomic symbol all Argent (Silver Gray)."  Attached above the shield a Black scroll inscribed "PANTHERS" in Silver letters.  Attached below the Shield a Black scroll folds of the like, inscribed "PERRY HIGH" in Silver letters.
