On a blue vertical rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) orange border, an orange stylized cougar's head and neck coming to a point in profile with white features and blue details. Blue whiskers edging around the cougar's head, eyes, nose orange and mouth white fimbriated black, all surmounting a white silhouette of a cougar's head. Attached above the rectangle, a blue scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) orange border inscribed "DCHS" in white letters. Attached below the rectangle, a blue scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) orange border inscribed "COUGARS" in white letters. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 3/8 inches (6.03 cm) in width.
Blue is symbolic of devotion, justice, loyalty and orange signifies endurance, pride and strength; they are the school colors. The Cougar is the school's mascot and reflects the culture, pride, honor and loyalty of the cadet's military training.
