Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
A white disc edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border, overall diameter 3 inches (7.62 cm) on which the head and shoulders of a patriot at the ready, faced forward, in light blue with white details, encircle by the inscription "PUTMAN CITY WEST H.S. PATRIOTS" in yellow letters.

Symbolism
 Columbia blue and gold are the school colors. The school symbol is the Patriot. Blue is for the sky, sincerity and truth. Gold signifies the four virtues of nobleness, goodwill, vigor and magnanimity.

Description/Blazon
A shield shaped Silver metal and enamel device 1-1/8 inches (2.86 cm) high blazoned as follows: Quarterly Or and Celeste, between a wavy laurel branch in pale of the first, in the first quarter a silhouette of a patriot of the second, in the second quarter a torch, in the third quarter a scroll in bend both of the first and in the fourth a quill pen bend sinisterwise of the second; on a chief of the first four mullets of the last. Attached at the bottom of the shield a Blue scroll with dovetail ends, inscribed "PUTNAM CITY WEST H.S." in base metal letters.

Symbolism
Columbia blue and gold are the school colors. The school's symbol is the Patriot. The shield is a symbol for protection and represents defending what is valued most. The symbols on the quarters are taken from the School's Seal.
