Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
A circular embroidered item 3 inches (7.62 cm) in diameter overall, consisting of an inner green disc edged with a 1/16 inch (.16 cm) silver gray border, displaying three silver gray lightning bolts which the middle bolt is over lapping the inner silver gray border.  All encircled by a green designation band edged with a 1/8 inch (.32cm) silver gray border inscribed "STEINMETZ" at top and "STREAKS" at bottom all in silver gray letters.

Symbolism
Green and silver are the school colors.  Green is symbolic of the courage of cadets as leaders in the school and the community while silver signifies their determination to succeed in all endeavors. The lightning streak is the school's mascot which reflects the pride, honor and loyalty of the cadet's military training.

On a Silver color metal and enameled device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Grebe, a pile reversed Vert charged with a lightning streak Silver Gray, in chief a cap of the second between two lightning flashes of the second, voided of the field descending to the dexter and sinister, below inscribed upon a scroll of the last, "STEINMETZ COLLEGE PREP" in Silver letters.
