Shoulder Loop Insignia
On a white diamond-shaped insignia 3 inches (7.62 cm) in height and 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width overall, with a 1/8 inch black border, a green pine tree across which is centered a black band 7/16 inch (1.11 cm) in width, inscribed DARMOUTH.
Green and white are the school colors of Dartmouth College. The pine tree has been a landmark of the college since its establishment.
The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 26 March 1987. (TIOH Drawing Number A- 10S-21)
Shoulder Loop Insignia
On a shield divided into a light blue sky and green and brown land areas, before two yellow trees to the viewers right of the shield, on the horizon, a white building detailed yellow. On the left side of the shield a yellow tree on the horizon in back of three yellow figures of Indians approaching the building, the lead figure holding before him a yellow open book, from the top of the shield on the left side, radiating diagonally towards the building five yellow rays. Below the shield a yellow scroll inscribed VOX CLAMANTIS IN DESERTO in black letters.
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 6 July 1962.
