On a purple vertical rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border, displaying between four closed books in perspective, a torch enflamed, the flame between two arched laurel leaves all yellow. Attached above the rectangle, a purple scroll inscribed BOWLING GREEN at top and PURPLES at bottom in yellow; all within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width.
Purple and gold are the school colors. Purple represents royalty, a virtue the cadets show in maintaining a high standard in all they do. Gold (yellow) signifies vigor, a trait the cadets reflect in following through in all of their goals and accomplishments. The books denote scholastic merit. The torch enflamed reflects knowledge. The two arched laurel leaves embody athletic achievements. Purple Victory is found in the school fight song and translates in Latin to Purpura Victoria.
