Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description
On a blue vertical rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border, displaying a black panther head facing the front, teeth and pupils white;  tongue and iris red; fimbriated white.  Attached above the rectangle, a blue scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border inscribed MULBERRY in white letters.  Attached below the rectangle, a blue scroll edged with a 1/8 inch white border inscribed and PANTHERS in white letters.  The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Blue and white are the school colors.  Blue alludes to loyalty, a trait the cadets show in their devotion to the country as well as to each other.  White signifies perfection, a virtue each cadet seeks to accomplish in every endeavor. Red denotes courage, a quality the cadets show in facing any adversity set before them.  The Florida panther is the schools mascot and conveys ferocity and bravery in the face of difficulty.  The students identify with their mascot in their pursuit of academic as well as athletic achievements.

Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description
A silver colored metal and enamel device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height overall, consisting of a shield blazoned:  Between a cross fillet Azure, in the first a lamp of knowledge facing sinister, superimposed on the sinister of an atomic symbol, in the second a unfurled scroll surmounted by a quill pen per bend sinister, in the third the five Olympic rings overall an Olympic torch, in the fourth a mask of tragedy/comedy superimposed on the dexter of a lyre all Argent (Silver Gray).  Attached below the shield a Blue scroll inscribed MULBERRY in Silver letters.  Crest:  A crouching panther on a limb all Argent.
