A square with point up, the top and bottom points surmounted by an arced scroll, the overall dimensions 4 inches (10.16 cm) in height and 3 inches (7.62 cm) in width at its widest point, the square of green background edged with a 1/8 inch (.32cm) black border, issuing from dexter an orange and white tiger outlined and detailed black. Attached above the square a green arced scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed COCOA HIGH in black letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height. Attached below the square a green arced scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed TIGERS in black letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height.
Orange and black are the school colors. The tiger is the schools mascot which reflects the strength and agility of the students. Orange represents the endurance of the battalion, while black signifies the determination of the cadets to succeed in all their endeavors.
The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally authorized on 21 January 1972. It is amended to add metrics and measurements and updated description and add a symbolism on 11 October 2013. (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J- 1070)
