Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description
On a white horizontal oval 2 inches (5.08 cm) in height by 3 inches (7.62 cm) in width with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) orange border, a blue horse in stride charged with the bsu logo; b and u white, s orange, all above the inscription BRONCOS in blue letters arcing in base.  

Symbolism
Blue and orange are the school colors.  The wild horse is the schools mascot and Broncos is the school nickname.  The logo identifies the cadets as school affiliated.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally authorized 16 April 1985.  It was amended to add subdued colors and metric measurements on 22 April 1992. (TIOH Drawing Number A-10S-87) 




Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description
A silver color metal enamel device 1 1/4 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a silver rearing horse superimposed on a blue oval band inscribed BOISE STATE UNIVERSITY in silver letters.  Insignia is to be manufactured in pairs

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 16 January 1985.
