Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description
A rectangular device with an arced scroll attached above and below, the overall dimensions 4 inches (10.16 cm) in height and 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width, consisting of a blue background edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) scarlet border on which is a yellow lion, armed langued and crowned scarlet, grasping a yellow torch of knowledge; attached above and below the rectangle a yellow scroll edged with a scarlet 1/8 inch (.32 cm) border, the top scroll inscribed HEIDELBERG and the bottom scroll inscribed LIONS in blue letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height.    

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 21 January 1975.
