Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description
 A shield 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in height by 2 3/16 inches (5.56 cm) in width blazoned:  Argent a chevron Gules between three stags trippant Sable eyed and gorged Or, a border of the third.

Symbolism
The insignia is the coat of arms of the school.  The chevron denotes protection and reflects the cadets learning environment.  The three stags represent peace, policy, and harmony.  The horns of the stags suggest strength of body and mind.  The golden eye of the stags symbolizes generosity and reflects the cadets commitment to school, community, and country.  The crowns attiring the stags connote achievement.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally authorized 12 June 1978.  It was amended to increase the size and update the description and symbolism of the new design on 10 April 1995.  (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J-390)

Description
A gold color metal and enamel insignia 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a gold shield on which is a red enamel chevron between three black enamel deer, two above the chevron and one below.  Attached below the shield a red enamel scroll inscribed ROGERS in gold letter.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was originally authorized 17 June 1936.  It was amended to change the colors on 8 November 1976.
